Your day is exactly that — yours.
CueToDo was built so that nothing you plan ever needs to leave your iPhone or iPad, except to your own iCloud. Here's the full, detailed explanation.
Effective date: October 27, 2026 · Last updated: October 27, 2026
CueToDo does not collect any data. It has no account, no ads, no analytics or advertising trackers, and no servers of its own. Your Cues are stored on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, a private copy syncs through your own iCloud database, which we cannot read. Calendars, Reminders, Location, and Notifications are optional, run only after you allow them, and stay on your device. Apple handles App Store purchases. On the App Store, CueToDo's privacy label is “Data Not Collected”. We do not sell personal information.

1. Information We Collect
CueToDo is designed to need no information about you. Specifically:
- No account or sign-up. CueToDo does not ask you to create an account, log in, or give your name, email address, or phone number.
- No advertising identifiers. CueToDo has no advertising SDKs and does not access Apple's Advertising Identifier (IDFA).
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. CueToDo does not embed third-party analytics, crash-reporting, or behavioral-tracking SDKs (e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, Firebase).
- No servers of our own. CueToDo has no networking code of its own. Nothing you write in the app is sent to us.
- What you write. Cues, notes, Areas, Projects, Headings, your wake and sleep times, breaks, and settings. These stay on your device and, if available, in your private iCloud (Section 3).
2. On-Device Data & Local Storage
Your Cues, lists, the waking day, breaks, and settings (theme, sounds, haptics, language, and similar choices) are stored on your device, in CueToDo's own storage and the App Group it shares with its widget and share extension. This data:
- Is never transmitted to CueToDo's developer or to any analytics service
- Stays on your device unless iCloud sync is available for your Apple Account (see Section 3), or you choose to connect Calendars or Reminders (see Section 4)
- Is removed automatically if you delete the app from your device, subject to Section 10
On first launch, CueToDo adds a few sample tasks so the timeline isn't empty. They are created on the device, are not synced to iCloud, and can be wiped from Settings.
3. Private iCloud Sync
If you are signed in to iCloud, CueToDo syncs your Cues, Areas, Projects, and Headings through your private CloudKit database. There is no separate CueToDo account. The private database belongs to your Apple Account.
- This private database is scoped to your personal Apple Account — CueToDo's developer has no access to it, cannot read its contents, and cannot identify you from it. CueToDo does not use public or shared CloudKit databases.
- Data in transit and at rest within iCloud is encrypted using Apple's infrastructure and subject to Apple's own Privacy Policy.
- You can turn off iCloud for CueToDo at any time in Settings > [your name] > iCloud.
4. Calendars & Reminders
Both are optional and off until you allow access. If you decline, the rest of the app works and your Cues stay local.
- Calendars. CueToDo can show your calendar events on the day rail. If you turn on write-back, a timed Cue is added to your calendar as an event.
- Reminders. CueToDo can import your open reminders. Completing one in CueToDo writes its title, date, and done state back to Reminders.
- This information is read and written on your device through Apple's EventKit. It is not sent to us. If your calendars or reminders sync to other devices, that happens through your own accounts (such as iCloud), not through CueToDo.
5. Location
Location is optional, and used only for a Cue you pin to a place, so you can be reminded when you arrive at or leave it. CueToDo asks for “While Using the App” permission only.
- Arrive and leave alerts are scheduled on your device by iOS. Your location is not sent to us or to anyone else, and is not used for ads or tracking.
- You can turn off Location for CueToDo at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
6. Notifications, Widgets, Siri & the Share Sheet
- Notifications. Alerts for timed Cues and places are scheduled on your device. Nothing is pushed from a server.
- Widgets, Live Activity, and Control Center. The widgets and the Live Activity read a snapshot that the app saves on your device. Done and +10m are applied on the device. There is no push server.
- Siri and Shortcuts. Adding a Cue with Siri or Shortcuts is handled on your device through Apple's App Intents.
- Share sheet. When you share text or a link to CueToDo, it is added to your Inbox as text. CueToDo does not open or fetch the link.
7. Purchases & Subscriptions
CueToDo Pro is an auto-renewing monthly subscription, sold and billed entirely through Apple's App Store using StoreKit.
- CueToDo never receives, transmits, or stores your credit card number, billing address, or other payment credentials — these are handled exclusively by Apple under its own privacy and payment terms.
- CueToDo receives only the information necessary to confirm your entitlement (i.e. whether you currently hold an active subscription), delivered through Apple's StoreKit APIs on your device. The app saves that Pro status on the device so its widget and extensions can read it.
- Subscription management, cancellation, and refund requests are all handled through your Apple Account, not directly by CueToDo. See our Terms of Use for details.
8. Network Requests
CueToDo has no networking code of its own and works fully offline. The only connections are made by Apple's own system services on your behalf, and none of them send anything to us:
- iCloud. Private sync through CloudKit, as described in Section 3.
- App Store transactions. Purchases, restores, and subscription status checks go directly through Apple's StoreKit servers, as described in Section 7.
- Links you tap. Links such as this policy or Apple's standard license open in Safari, only when you tap them.
- Messages you choose to send. Contact Support opens your mail app with a message to contact@itsacue.com that has only a subject line. CueToDo adds nothing about the app or your device. You write it, and you decide whether to send it. If you do, we receive what you write, your email address, and anything you attach, and use it only to reply.
9. Data Sharing With Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. We do not receive your Cues, lists, or plans, so we cannot share them. The only “third party” involved in CueToDo's operation is:
- Apple — for iCloud sync (Section 3), Calendars and Reminders on your device (Section 4), location alerts (Section 5), App Store purchases (Section 7), and, if you choose to send them, crash or diagnostic reports you explicitly opt into through iOS's own “Share With App Developers” setting.
10. Data Retention & Deletion
Your Cues and settings stay on your device while the app is installed, or until you delete them. Deleting the app removes what it stored on that device. Settings > Wipe all tasks removes tasks and breaks from within the app.
If iCloud sync is on, a copy also lives in your private CloudKit database until you delete it, for example in Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Account Storage > CueToDo.
Events CueToDo added to your calendar, and changes written back to Reminders, belong to those apps. They stay there until you delete them in Calendar or Reminders.
11. Children's Privacy
CueToDo is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We do not ask for an account. If you believe a message sent to us includes a child’s information, email the address in Section 16.
12. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA & more)
Depending on where you live, you may have specific legal rights over your personal data:
If you're in the EU, EEA, or UK (GDPR)
- The right to access, correct, or delete your personal data
- The right to restrict or object to certain processing
- The right to data portability
- The right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent
If you're a California resident (CCPA/CPRA)
- The right to know what personal information is collected, used, and disclosed
- The right to request deletion of personal information
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — CueToDo does not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights
Because CueToDo data lives on your device or in your own private iCloud account, the most direct way to exercise these rights is to edit or delete Cues in the app, turn off iCloud sync, or delete the app itself. For anything else, such as an email you sent us, contact us at the address in Section 16 and we'll respond within a reasonable time frame, consistent with applicable law.
13. International Data Transfers
Because on-device data never leaves your device except to your own iCloud, and iCloud sync is governed entirely by Apple's own global infrastructure and safeguards (including Apple's Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable), CueToDo itself does not transfer your personal data internationally.
14. Security
CueToDo relies on iOS's built-in security model — including on-device encryption at rest and Apple's iCloud encryption in transit and at rest — to protect your data. No app can guarantee absolute security, but by collecting nothing and keeping data on your device and in your private iCloud, CueToDo minimizes what could ever be exposed.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, legal requirements, or our practices. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on the App Store.
16. Contact Us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how CueToDo handles data, contact us at:
Email: contact@itsacue.com
CueToDo is made by ItsaCue Studio, a one-person studio run by Mohsen Saki. On the App Store, the seller is listed as Mohsen Saki.

We're happy to explain anything in plain English.
Hosting infrastructure
This website is served by a third-party web host. The host may inject its own performance or traffic scripts on page responses. CueToDo does not run ads or third-party advertising trackers in the app or on this site, and we configure the site to block unnecessary third-party scripts where possible. The app itself has no networking code of its own, as described above. iCloud, App Store purchases, and messages you send us are the exceptions named in this policy.
