Frequently asked questions
Open Remotal, then Settings → Membership → Restore Purchases. It is also on the Unlock Remotal sheet. Use the same Apple Account you bought with.
Remotal needs Local Network access to find and control your TV. If you said no, open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network and turn on Remotal. The empty Devices screen also has a button that opens iOS Settings. Make sure the iPhone and TV are on the same Wi-Fi, not a guest network, and that the TV is on with its network remote feature turned on.
On the TV, find its IP address in the network settings. In Remotal, open Devices, tap + and choose Add TV by IP, then enter the address. Adding a TV needs the free trial or the unlock.
Remotal works with LG webOS TVs.
Other smart TVs that offer network remote control may work. Features depend on the TV. Try your TV during the 14-day free trial before you unlock.
Pair once with the prompt or code on your TV. In most setups, Remotal reconnects without asking again.
No. The trial is free and never charges you. After it, Unlock Remotal is a one-time purchase. See Pricing.
Yes. Choose Try a demo TV. It runs the whole remote on the iPhone, offline, and is always free.
No. Remotal is an iPhone app that works over Wi-Fi. It is not laid out for iPad, there is no Android version, and it is not an infrared remote. It does not control streaming boxes or cast-only devices.
Settings → Session → Forget pairing removes the saved pairing for a TV. Clear sticky session forgets which TV to resume. Deleting the app removes its data from the iPhone, though some Keychain items may remain. The Privacy Policy has the details.
